Dr Volker Schanbacher, Minister of Education of the Global Country of World Peace, presents Maharishi's unsurpassed achievements in education - Part III

Dr Schanbacher introduced a new organization, the International Foundation of Consciousness-Based Education, founded by Dr Susan Dillbeck under Maharishi's guidance. The activity of the Foundation is through three divisions: higher education; schools; and distance and continuing education. Courses and teaching manuals are in final stages of development, with some courses already in use in Latin America.

'Maharishi has blessed us with a vast amount of written educational material', Dr Schanbacher said, 'including literature on ideal education and books in all the major areas of society. These books serve to educate the leaders to raise their respective areas to perfection.

'For many years, Maharishi has produced countless materials and we have often had only a glimpse of what he developed. For example, a vast amount of materials have been prepared for India and much more is in store. In addition, Maharishi structured a set of 200 sequentially-ordered charts to serve as a basis of the course on Total Knowledge.'

At this point, Dr Schanbacher took the opportunity to express his appreciation and gratitude to the International Publication Department of the Global Country of World Peace, which has made all the material available in printed form. He said that it was through their continuing efforts that Maharishi's words and thoughts found expression over many years in a great number of books and charts. Translation of all these materials is constantly in progress for all countries of the world.

'Maharishi did not stop at charts, but he inspired us to make large frame high-definition video animations as well,' Dr Schanbacher said. His Ministry of Education is working towards the wide-scale translation and international distribution of all these materials.

'Having enumerated just a few of the very historic achievements of Maharishi, and having mentioned some of our own humble achievements and projects in the field of education', Dr Schanbacher continued, 'I would like to conclude by saying that above all the achievements in education by Maharishi, what cannot be praised highly enough is that Maharishi's presence has brought peace in world. Through his actions from the level of silence, Maharishi has averted the danger of wars that threatened to bring destruction to the world. We can call ourselves very fortunate that we will never know what would have happened without Maharishi's presence in the world today. He has turned around the destiny of the world and given us the formula to avert the danger that has not yet come, and to create Heaven on Earth.'
