Dr Volker Schanbacher, Minister of Education of the Global Country of World Peace, presents Maharishi's unsurpassed achievements in education - Part II

In Latin America and the Caribbean, Consciousness-Based Education has been introduced in 83 schools and 15 universities in 19 countries, and now 45,000 have learned Transcendental Meditation. Among these, more than 6000 have learned the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme including Yogic Flying. Approximately 1,500 educators have learned TM as well. Most of the schools have implemented the Science of Creative Intelligence programme for middle and secondary education. A course in Total Knowledge is to start soon in some educational institutions of Latin America and in one university a one-year certificate programme of Total Knowledge will be offered in the coming year.

Dr Schanbacher acknowledged the outstanding contributions and educational genius of Dr Susan Dillbeck, President of the International Foundation of Vedic Education for mothers in every generation, under whose leadership the courses are being developed for Latin America and many countries worldwide. 'Through these achievements', Dr Schanbacher said, 'invincibility will be secured for all Latin America.'

A chart on Optimizing Brain Functioning through Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme and Yogic Flying was presented, which can be used when introducing the great benefits of this practice to schools and universities.

Dr Schanbacher praised the David Lynch Foundation for its great work during the past two years in helping to fund Consciousness-Based Education in 16 schools in the United States, where 2,000 students along with 400 faculty and administrators have learned Transcendental Meditation. He listed Holland, Denmark, Thailand, United Kingdom, South Africa, and Australia as countries where programmes are either underway or will begin very soon.

In his long list of Maharishi's achievements in education, Dr Schanbacher included the unique means of broadcasting knowledge through the Maharishi Channel and Maharishi Open University, which is available on satellite and via the Internet.

He noted one of Maharishi's most remarkable contributions in the form of the countless videotaped lessons which he created and inspired. 'In this context', Dr Schanbacher said, 'I am happy to present an achievement of the past months. The Ministry of Education expresses deepest thanks to the International Course Development office of the Global Country of World Peace which has made available various courses to be put on DVD.'

Dr Schanbacher went on to list the tremendous scope of these courses which will be distributed to Maharishi Invincibility Centres around the world. Together, the courses will provide hundreds of hours of instruction in many aspects of Maharishi's Vedic Science. Course topics include: Total Knowledge; Creating a Perfect Man; Maharishi Sthapatya Veda , Seven States of Consciousness; Maharishi's Vedic Science; Consciousness-Based Education; and the Science of Creative Intelligence.
