Dr Ashley Deans tours universities in Turkey, presenting Consciousness-Based Education

Speaking recently on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Paul Potter reported that Dr Ashley Deans, Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education, has recently completed two tours through Turkey, spreading Maharishi's knowledge throughout that nation.

Dr Deans, who presented Consciousness-Based Education to universities in Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey, said that the response was overwhelmingly positive. He visited several universities where he spoke to large audiences, including The Middle East Technical University, one of the top five institutions in Turkey, Cankaya University, and others.

In addition, Raja Potter reported, there was very good press coverage of Dr Deans' visit. An article appeared in the Hurriat, the most widely read newspaper in Turkey, and an interview with Dr Deans was broadcast on a national TV channel.

On a final note, Raja Potter reported that some of the faculty and administrators who attended one of Dr Deans' conferences were representing a university on the border of Turkey and Iraq. 'This presents a great opportunity for Turkey to play a global role in creating coherence,' commented Raja Potter. 'If groups of university students begin practising the Yogic Flying Technique, this would help dissolve the controversy revolving around Iraq.'
