Reporters from MTV and Rolling Stone are expected to cover the event.
Bob Roth, Vice President of the David Lynch Foundation, explained to the Daily Iowan that to learn Transcendental Meditation requires no change in lifestyle. He stated that the practice of the technique has many practical results for students, including:
- increased creativity
- improved test scores, GPA, and memory
- decreased anxiety, depression, insomnia, and high blood pressure.
'A decrease in anything related to stress,' he was quoted as saying. 'It's about accessing more of your ''Self'',' Roth said. 'Capital S.'
Transcendental Meditation is also popular with creative artists, such as Donovan and David Lynch.
Roth explained that the practice of Transcendental Meditation 'deepens your appreciation for the human condition to understand and express it more directly'.
'All of the artists and lecturers are performing during the weekend for free,' the article stated.
