Enlightenment and Consciousness-Based Education: Maharishi's message regarding moving forward

Raja Dean Dodrill, Raja of Invincible Austria* for the Global Country of World Peace, recently spoke about a message Maharishi gave in recent months regarding moving forward, and the emphasis Maharishi placed on regular practice of Transcendental Meditation and on Consciousness-Based Education.

Speaking on the Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Dean related that Maharishi had said 'that the most important thing for people to remember going forward was that practice makes perfect. And he went on to explain that simply doing the programme, simply practising our meditation [Transcendental Meditation] everyday was of the utmost importance. And it was through practice that we perfect those deeper levels of consciousness within ourselves.

'Maharishi went on to explain that it's a matter of becoming familiar with these deeper levels of consciousness through our practice. It's a matter of becoming at home with it, a matter of absorbing that level and becoming that, and all that was necessary was practice. . . . This is what Maharishi wanted everyone to remember going forward—that practice makes perfect.'

Maharishi also said 'Remember to bring the knowledge to the children,' Raja Dean continued. Maharishi said that because the consciousness of the world has risen, the children coming into the world today are of very fine nervous system. When given the knowledge, the children 'will instantly know what to do with it, they will instantly understand it, because they will be at that level. So once they are given the Transcendental Meditation Technique, they will then be on the road to their own enlightenment, which will happen very rapidly. And the knowledge that Maharishi has provided—the legacy of tapes and everything that we have—they will understand. So we just need to make the knowledge available, particularly to the young people. . . .'

Maharishi said it is not necessary to have teachers of Transcendental Meditation who are fully enlightened—though as they grow in enlightenment themselves that will accelerate the process. It is only necessary to provide the knowledge in its pure form.

'Maharishi's legacy will last for hundreds and hundreds of years and many, many generations into the future,' Raja Dean concluded. 'As it unfolds it will provide the basis for Sat Yuga [a time of all good for everyone, ''Heaven on Earth''] for thousands of years—and the enlightenment of all of us . . . will accelerate it and bring it forth in its fullness sooner.'
