Scotland: Resolution to establish Invincible Donovan University

As part of the recent announcement by Dr Donovan Leitch of 'Invincible Donovan University' to be established in Scotland, the illustrious steering group of the new university made a resolution to found this institution of higher learning, which will offer Total Knowledge to raise every student to enlightenment and create invincibility in national consciousness.

Members of the steering group:

- Dr Donovan Leitch: Renowned songwriter and poet
- Dr David Lynch: Film director, Chairman, David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace (non-profit educational organisation registered in USA)
- Dr John Hagelin: President, Maharishi Central University, USA; Director, Global Union of Scientists for Peace
- Dr Bevan Morris: President, Maharishi University of Management, USA
- Dr Peter Warburton: Raja (Administrator) of Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace; Chairman, Maharishi Foundation (educational charity registered in England & Wales)
- David Rae: Chairman, Scottish Age of Enlightenment Trust (charity registered in Scotland); Trustee, Maharishi Foundation.

The text of the resolution follows.

The members of the Steering Group resolve:

1. To found a University to be known as Invincible Donovan University;

2. The University will offer Total Knowledge—full enlightenment—to every student and invincibility to national consciousness;

3. The programme of study at the University will include the traditional academic disciplines, with a few minutes added to each class to identify the source of the discipline in the Unified Field of all the laws of nature, as discovered in the most advanced findings of modern science;

4. Students will also participate in educational programmes to gain the direct experience of the Unified Field in the most settled state of their own awareness—programmes that have been shown in extensive scientific research to develop the full brain potential of every student, leading to increased creativity and intelligence, academic achievement, and ideal citizenship;

5. Students at Invincible Donovan University will thus gain Total Knowledge—full intellectual understanding about the common source of all disciplines in the Unified Field, along with direct subjective experience of the Unified Field. They will learn about the unified basis of all disciplines and the connection of each area of study with their own Self;

6. The University will uphold the cultural integrity of Scotland, and will offer courses intended to nourish and develop traditional values in music, the arts, and other disciplines. The influence of invincibility for the nation will be based on the traditional cultural values of Scotland;

7. The Goal of the University will be to impart Total Knowledge to every student, and thereby promote the common good and raise Scotland to be an ideal society, invincible to all negative influences from inside or outside the country. An invincible Scotland will be a prosperous healthy, problem-free Scotland, with a nourishing role in the family of nations, offering inspiration and friendship to all, and promoting permanent world peace;

8. The members of the Steering Group will be the initial Governors of the University with responsibility for the preparation of a formal constitution;

9. The University will seek to fulfil all legal requirements to obtain university status, including recognition as a Scottish Charity

10. The Governors will seek to raise funds for the establishment of the University.
