Dr Ashley Deans visits Turkey

In April, Dr Ashley Deans, director of Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Fairfield, Iowa, USA visited Turkey for four days to promote Consciousness-Based Education. At the beginning of his visit, he was interviewed by the largest newspaper in Turkey, which subsequently published an article on the possibility of creating a stress-free Turkey through a group of students practising Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme. The article generated a wave of interest in the TM Technique.

Dr Deans also met with educators and school principals at a large conference. Some of the principals were interested in implementing Consciousness-Based Education in their schools and expressed the desire to visit Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Fairfield, Iowa, USA to observe the results of this system first-hand.
