Dr Ashley Deans tours Belgium for Vedic education

Belgium has enjoyed several days of conferences on Total Knowledge and Consciousness-Based Education featuring Dr Ashley Deans, Director of the award-winning Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.

At the request of Raja Lucien Mansour, leader of the Global Country of World Peace for Belgium, Dr Deans will extend his stay to speak to as many people as possible about Maharishi's Vedic Education to develop the total potential of Belgian students. Additional lectures and conferences are being arranged in Maharishi Peace Palaces in Brussels and Antwerp.

Conference press coverage has been positive and enlightened, as exemplified by this headline in one of the biggest national newspapers: 'Meditation in class makes students perform better'. The article stated that with this kind of education students can easily become geniuses, and that 'by using Transcendental Meditation, students are more calm, alert, and friendly, with higher academic achievement'.

After a very positive radio interview on stress-free schools, and good conference attendance by teachers, parents, and politicians, one of Belgium's most widely-read education magazines is planning an article on Dr Deans and Consciousness-Based Education. There are also indications of support from the government for establishing Maharishi Schools in Belgium.

These conferences on Consciousness-Based Education have inspired a great advance in the whole collective consciousness of Belgium.
