Another David Lynch weekend planned for May
M.U.M. Review Translate This Article
16 March 2007
Last year's Weekend with David Lynch was a great success, bringing over 1,000 people to campus, and now another such weekend is planned for May 25-28. The event will again feature award-winning filmmaker David Lynch, Dr. John Hagelin of the University's Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy, and singer/songwriter Donovan.
The weekend will offer three days of fascinating talks, question-and-answer sessions, and entertainment. This year's event carries the same name as Dr. Lynch's new book, Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness, and Creativity, and will appeal to anyone interested in Consciousness-Based(SM) education, growth in consciousness, the brain, creativity, and world peace.
Other speakers will include Maharishi Mahesh Yogi via live satellite, Drs. Fred Travis and Alarik Arenander on brain research, and President Dr. Bevan Morris. See http://lynchweekend.org for information.
Dr. Lynch has constantly been in the news this year, due in part to the publication of his new book, his book-signings and presentations in major cities in the U.S., and to the release of his latest movie, INLAND EMPIRE.
His book has been well received, the Boston Globe referring to it as 'an unexpected delight.' He has granted scores of interviews in recent months, and usually discusses the Transcendental Meditation technique and his David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace.
