Ashley Deans' education tour: Education to enliven the total brain

There continues to be a universal and positive response from the press and school principals to Dr Ashley Deans, the principal of Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment (MSAE) in Fairfield, Iowa, USA during his recent tour of Australia and New Zealand. This reflects rising collective consciousness spreading from Invincible Holland.
The basis of 'Education to Enliven the Total Brain' and 'Stress-Free Schools' was explained by Dr Deans. School principals were then invited to introduce the Transcendental Meditation Technique and Yogic Flying groups in their schools to create national invincibility. At the first stop in Sydney, one individual responded, 'You need a whole network of schools!' So she will try and introduce it in all the Catholic schools. Also, an edition of 'All in the Mind' was taped. As frequently happens, the reporters wanted to learn TM straight away.
The tour then went to Melbourne, which has had a Maharishi Primary School for 9 years. Its newest classrooms have been constructed according to the principles of Vastu—with the design including proper orientation and proportions. The principal, Mrs Frances Clarke, finds that Transcendental Meditation is the best way to start a school day. The children are settled by 10 minutes meditation in the morning and afternoon. Younger children walk around for 5 minutes. The Melbourne school otherwise follows the standard Victorian curriculum. Following the wave of media enthusiasm, they now feel they'll have enough interest to start a High School.
There is no down side, because teachers love it, parents like seeing their children happy and successful, and students are more motivated. Happiness and creativity are nurtured. Mistake-free living is the goal of the school as the drug abuse, violent behaviour etc, often seen in normal education, don't occur in genuinely happy students. Demand for this kind of education is increasing around the world.
Following Adelaide-Mount Lofty and the University of Adelaide—the tour went to stunningly beautiful Perth where the University of Western Australia had 50 people attending, including representatives of the three largest High Schools. One principal said, 'I want this for my teachers right away.' Canberra and New Zealand followed. As a result of Dr Deans' tour, 10 schools have already expressed interest in the programme.
In Auckland, a very conservative talk show host, said: 'I used to be skeptical, but with these results, I am now extremely positive.' In fact he wanted his family to learn. In Christchurch, one principal immediately rang other principals and told them not to make comments on TM until they had attended the seminar. This was a big breakthrough.
Dr Ashley Deans is the principal of MSAE, a school which scores in the top 5 per cent on all academic tests, and wins far more than its share of sports trophies, speech and drama competitions, and Science Fairs. The remarkable educational outcomes from introducing the Transcendental Meditation Programme into this school are chronicled in his book, A Record of Excellence, which was snapped up by one principal who wanted all her teachers to read it. Dr Deans' tour provided educators in Australia and New Zealand with not only hope, but proven technologies such as Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying. It is hoped to teach these to hundreds and thousands of children this coming year.
