On 6 January 2006 KTVOTV3.com reported:
Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment student Sofia Iowbi was named YMCA player of the week this Friday in Fairfield, Iowa USA. MSAE coach Brendan Higgens said that the basketball team, which is ranked sixth and is currently 8-0, has a good chance of advancing to the state tournament this year.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of education.
Iowbi, an MSAE senior, says that the team, called the Pioneers, has been improving steadily over the past 4 years. The article quotes her as saying 'every year we've done better and better and we've really stepped it up'.
As a senior playing among starters who are sophomores, Iowbi, has played an important role in that improvement. She has tried to help the whole team play at a higher level.
Head coach Higgens was quoted as saying 'I can't think of a better player in the whole state of Iowa than Sofia Iowbi.....she does it all, steals, rebounds, triple doubles....she's an absolutely incredible player.'
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
