7 November 2005
On 7 November 2005 NBC4.tv reported:
In an interview in his Los Angeles production studio, film director David Lynch focused not on his newest movie but on his recent efforts to inspire students around the country to practise the Transcendental Meditation Programme (TM). Lynch told the interviewer that he is convinced that TM can help children perform better in the classroom.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of education.
Lynch spoke from his own experience with the Transcendental Meditation Technique, saying, 'Intuition grows, the joy of doing things grows, the pressures in this business, they don't bother you anymore.'
The article noted that studies on TM have shown that the technique can help reduce anxiety and aggression in children. Questioning whether teens would take the time to sit and meditate, NBC4.tv reporter talked to Chris Haddock, a local teen who has practised TM regularly for several years and found the technique to be helpful in filtering out negative thoughts.
Lynch explained that TM can bring peace to a troubled world. 'It's like watering the root of the tree that's in bad shape. You water the root and automatically the whole thing comes up,' said Lynch.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
