Getting help from colleges and universities

15 August 2005
On 15 August 2005 Entrepreneur.com reported:
Entrepreneurial programmes are now available at business schools across America, and companies should take advantage of local universities to bring bright minds and new ideas into the workplace. Maharishi University of Management (MUM) was included in a list of seven universities around the country that offer special opportunities to business owners for help in starting a new business or solving sticky business problems.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of education.
The article noted that M.U.M.'s programme was unique. M.U.M. business administration professor Scott Herriott explained to Entrepreneur.com, 'Our [incubator] at M.U.M. is for ''idea stage'' entrepreneurs,' which means that a participant doesn't have to have a business yet—just an idea for one. That person then is given an office with highspeed internet connection, the rent for which is deferred for six months, at the university's risk. If the entrepreneur creates a successful business, the rent is paid back over time. If the business flops, the entrepreneur owes nothing and can walk away without paying a cent.'
Herriott observed, 'That puts the pressure on the university to help the entrepreneurs succeed.'
Participants of the programme also are given the opportunity to present their business ideas to business students at the undergraduate and graduate levels and either get advice from them or have students research a concept for them.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
