Last month students, staff, and faculty heard about the uniqueness of the gemstones which are part of the Maharishi Jyotish(SM) program, the science of transformation and technology of prediction.
Shirley Boncheff, director of Jyotish Gems International for North America, presented detailed knowledge of how the Maharishi Jyotish program contains beneficial remedies such as the Maharishi Yagya(SM) program and gemstones to enhance one's evolution of consciousness.
'There are many precise and unique requirements in selecting gemstones to fulfill the Maharishi Jyotish recommendations,' Ms. Boncheff said. 'When people think about gemstones, they often think of color, cut, shape, size, or weight. These are just a few of the many characteristics that are considered in order to meet the exacting guidelines of this program.'
Experts from Jyotish Gems International in Antwerp, Belgium, travel extensively to gather gemstones that will fulfill these unique requirements. Because of this rigorous selection process, choosing a gemstone to fulfill one's recommendation is simply a matter of picking a gemstone one likes.
After the presentation and answers to questions, everyone was invited to see a selection of the gemstones.
Ms. Boncheff, a certified graduate gemologist, has also made presentations through the Gemological Institute of America alumnae association, introducing this knowledge to Western gemologists. Representatives from well-known jewelry houses such as Tiffany and Cartier heard her speak at the National Arts Club in New York.
'They were intrigued about the way gemstones are used in the Maharishi Jyotish program as well as the relationship of gemstones to the planets and research on the correlation to human physiology,' Ms. Boncheff said.
