29 July 2004
On 29 July 2004 The Statesman reported:
On the campus of Maharishi Vidya Mandir, national director Dr Pathek recently inaugurated the Maharishi Institute of Vedic and Management Sciences.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of education.
According to Dr Pathek there will be twenty courses available under Maharishi University of Management and Technology, Chattishgarh, with some courses being given on campus and others offered through distance education.
Dr Pathek also indicated that the courses are designed to be parallel to the international course pattern, with a lot of research going into it, and that such courses are not available in any other universities of India.
The Statesman stated, 'The organisation has 75 branches of the Institutes of Vedic and Management Sciences across the country. In Orissa, besides Balasore, it would also be opening a centre at Raygada...'
The consciousness-based system of education is unique, because it is based on expansion of consciousness and establishing the students in higher states of consciousness. This system has been successfully implemented in schools, colleges, and universities worldwide for over four and a half decades.
The Statesman article concluded, 'Dr Pathek said that in India there are around 175 schools under the system which follow the CBSE pattern of education with nearly 90,000 students. Besides, there are two universities— the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya in Madhya Pradesh and Maharishi University of Management and Technology in Chattisgarh. There are universities abroad too.'
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
