6 October 2015
The David Lynch Foundation (DLF) officially announced its annual Change Begins Within 2015 benefit concert presented by Citi, which will be held at Carnegie Hall on November 4th. DLF will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of its work teaching Transcendental Meditation (TM) to at-risk populations worldwide.
The evening will feature performances by meditators Katy Perry, Sting Jerry Seinfeld, Jim James, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Angélique Kidjo, and Grammy-Award winning classical guitarist Sharon Isbin. The concert will be hosted by long-time meditators ABC's George Stephanopoulos and David Lynch.
All proceeds from the event will go towards DLF's MEDITATE NEW YORK Initiative, whose mission is to teach the evidence-based, stress-reducing TM technique to 10,000 at-risk New Yorkers, including veterans with PTSD, urban youth, and survivors of domestic abuse—at no cost.
''We are so excited and grateful that such amazing artists have gathered for such a meaningful cause,'' said DLF executive director Bob Roth. ''Through this concert, we will be able to continue sharing the gift of Transcendental Meditation to people who need it the most.''
Tickets range from $150 to $600 and can be acquired here.
