17 June 2012
On June 30, the David Lynch Foundation will host 'A Night of Comedy,' honoring 30-year Transcendental Meditation practitioner George Shapiro, the legendary comedy manager of Jerry Seinfeld and Andy Kaufman.
This fun-filled evening will be held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles and will feature guest performances by Russell Brand, Sarah Silverman, Garry Shandling, and other surprise guests. Shapiro will receive the Lifetime of Bliss Award for his global contributions to good humor.
In Los Angeles, there are thousands of at-risk youth and veterans who are waiting to learn Transcendental Meditation to overcome traumatic stress and get a new start on life. Proceeds from this “Night of Comedy” benefit gala will go teach TM to those in Los Angeles who need it the most.
