Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's approaches to strengthening cultural integrity will be highlighted at a series of upcoming conferences in Nepal. In presentations by Dr Chris Crowell, Minister of Religion and Culture for the Global Country of World Peace, and Dr Ann Crowell, the main topic will be the knowledge and programmes developed by Maharishi for creating coherence in national consciousness while simultaneously uplifting and honouring cultural integrity.
The first conference they will address is a very large annual assembly of traditional peoples. The conference will take place outside of Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, and is expected to have an audience of 35,000-40,000 people.
The Crowells have been invited to speak to the group 'to present to them the vision of Maharishi's programmes to generate cultural integrity as the basis for an invincible nation and a peaceful world,' Dr Chris Crowell commented.
Another aim in attending the conference is to expand membership of the Federation of Traditional Kings. Dr Crowell explains that the Federation of Traditional Kings is an 'organization that Maharishi created in 2000 to honour and support and fulfil the parental role of administration embodied in traditional leaders. Throughout the world we see these parental leaders guiding society, and Maharishi wanted them . . . to have the resources of knowledge to bring fulfilment to their people.'
They will also speak at a conference in Kathmandu, this time focusing on the fulfilment of religion, the importance of maintaining culture, the importance of mother tongue, the role of the mother in nourishing society, and how to create world harmony.
Their presentations will show how all these aspects of culture can be fulfilled through the knowledge and technologies of consciousness brought to the world by Maharishi. This has always been an important focus of Maharishi's initiatives in this field, to create harmony while honouring the diverse cultures of the world.
