Leader of Amazonian tribes to launch programmes for traditional peoples

Haru Kuntanawa, a major leader of Amazonian tribes who has worked to unify them and protect their traditional cultural values, expressed his intention to launch, in conjunction with the World Federation of Traditional Kings, a programme for the promotion of the region's traditional people.

Haru's vision is to protect the life of the forest people, their wisdom, and the forests. The initiative will support this vision through four avenues.

1) Construction of a Peace Palace will provide an ideal location for a large coherence-creating group of Yogic Flyers.

2) This institution is intended to become a University of World Peace and a centre of wisdom of the traditional peoples. Under the leadership of Haru, who was invited to become a Teacher of the Transcendental Meditation Programme, this centre will help support invincible peace and progress for his people.

3) Programmes for economy, health, and food production will support self-sufficiency for the tribes.

4) Protection of the Mother Tongues of the traditional people is also essential for cultural integrity.

Speaking on 24 November, Haru expressed his deep appreciation for the life-supporting programmes of the Global Country of World Peace. These programmes benefit the Amazon tribes and all people, he said.
