Offering protection to the world: Global Mother Divine Organization full moon celebration

The role of the Global Mother Divine Organization* 'is to give protection to the whole world,' explained a leader of the organization from India, one of the Raj Rajeshwaris* of the Global Country of World Peace, during the 24 August Full Moon celebration. The celebration featured the day of protection in the Vedic calendar, traditionally known as Raksha Bandhan. She explained that in a previous year's celebration of this day, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi discussed Raksha Bandhan in terms Sambandha Vigyan, 'the science of relationship'.

During her opening address, the Raj Rajeshwari said that by giving protection to ourselves first, then wherever we give protection, that will be fruitful—'wherever our attention goes, that will be fruitful. We celebrate Raksha Bandhan, the day of protection. Giving protection to ourself means morning and evening practice of Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying, which give coherence to the mind and body.'

'That is the protection for the whole Jiva [individuality], Atma [the Self], and Brahm [Totality, wholeness of life]. Brahm gives protection to Atma,' the Raj Rajeshwari said, 'and Atma gives protection to the body' and our thinking.

She added that God gave us the beautiful ability to think, and that through the knowledge and technologies of consciousness brought to light by Maharishi, we have learned to 'think from [the field of] all possibilities.** Then we can give protection to the whole world, wherever our attention goes.'

The Raj Rajeshwari continued by expressing the desire everyone feels to share this knowledge with the world. She related the resolution of the Global Mother Divine Organization in India on this day, to establish groups of 1,000 lady Yogic Flyers in many cities to create coherence and orderliness in the country; and to establish large groups of Yogic Flyers in every country for the invincibility of every nation and peace for the world.

'With protection love grows,' and with love Heaven on Earth spontaneously develops, she said. She concluded her address—referring to the tradition associated with Raksha Bandhan, of brothers and sisters giving protection to one another—by inviting 'all the ladies of the world to protect all our brothers in the world'.
