A major television channel in Denmark recently featured an EEG demonstration showing the unique brainwave coherence resulting from practice of the Transcendental Meditation Programme.

Raja Bjarne Landsfeldt, Raja of Invincible Denmark for the Global Country of World Peace, reported news of this development on Maharishi Global Family Chat.*

The 25-minute demonstration, pre-recorded for the TV station, took place at the Rǿrvig Folk School** for the Development of Consciousness, which offers regular Residence courses and World Peace Assemblies for practitioners of Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme.

The TV special, which attracted between 1.5 and 2 million viewers, also featured two well-known Danish actors, who spoke about the importance of Transcendental Meditation in their lives. 'We expect the show will have a large impact on the public, and will draw more people to Transcendental Meditation and to the Folk School,' commented Raja Bjarne.

In the future, the school will record EEG demonstrations more frequently before and after courses, so as to clearly show the impact of Maharishi's programmes for increasing brain coherence to both participants and the public. 'This technology is a very powerful tool,' added Raja Bjarne in conclusion.

* Raja Bjarne's report was featured on the 19 January 2010 Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.

** The Folk School for the Development of Consciousness, Rǿrvig Folkehǿjskole, began 30 years ago and is part of the folk high school system subsidized by the Danish government. The school offers informal, non-degree courses in a wide range of subjects for adult students (minimum age is 17 1/2). The unique focus at Rǿrvig Folkehǿjskole is the development of consciousness through the Transcendental Meditation Programme. For more information, please see www.rfh.dk, in Danish and English.
