During the global celebration of the Festival of Lights, Dipavali, on 17 October 2009, Raja Harris Kaplan, Raja of Invincible India for the Global Country of World Peace, reflected on the profound significance of the day, upon which Mahalakshmi, the administering intelligence of Natural Law to bring wealth, prosperity, and bliss to everyone in the world, is celebrated each year.
Raja Harris was speaking from the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahma-Sthan (geographical centre) of India. After remarking on the 'enormity' of Mahalakshmi as the goal of all life, he expressed the wish that 'all the plans, the exquisite plans of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, which we all have the joy and honour to fulfil, come to fruition right away, so that the world can enjoy everywhere life in peace, in harmony, and in fulfilment.'
Raja Harris went on to praise Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, for his speech at the beginning of the celebration. Everyone was deeply moved to hear from Dr Morris of the visit of former President Chissano of Mozambique to Maharishi Vedic City, USA, at the time of the Dipavali celebrations, Raja Harris said. 'I think we can say that it was [President Chissano's] example as a leader that paved the way for a new time dawning for the world; and that this light, the beautiful light of life, the light of Mother Divine,* is radiating now from country to country.'
Raja Harris introduced the Maharishi Vedic Pandits and their performance of special Vedic Recitations for Dipavali. 'It is my great honour, having been asked by Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, and by the Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr Benjamin Feldman, whom Maharishi would so often ask to welcome everyone and the Vedic Pandits. So with the blessings of Maharaja it is my honour now to invite the dear Vedic Pandits of India' to begin the special recitations for Mahalakshmi. 'Such thrill, honour, delight, and I think it warms the heart of everyone in the light of life—one unified, delighted, thrilled global family of Maharishi—that we celebrate this day of Mahalakshmi,' said Raja Harris, concluding the first part of the celebration.

* 'Mother Divine' refers to the nourishing, evolutionary power of Natural Law lively within all of creation and within the silent consciousness of everyone. The Global Mother Divine Organization, established in December 2007, is the ladies' wing of the Global Country of World Peace.
