Dr David Lynch interviews star performers from 'Change Begins Within' concert for DLF.TV

Speaking from the Global Financial Capital of New York at 70 Broad Street, Dr Robert Roth, National Director of Expansion for Invincible America and Vice President of the David Lynch Foundation, recently reflected on the extraordinary events surrounding the global benefit concert—'Change Begins Within'—on 4 April 2009. The concert, headlined by Sir Paul McCartney and featuring Ringo Starr and many other top musical stars, was held to raise funds for one million students to learn Transcendental Meditation.

Dr Roth said that it was an 'extraordinary several days of public awareness of the Transcendental Meditation programme. The knowledge that it can transform the lives of the youth and children all over the world has swept North America and our whole world family.'

On Wednesday 1 April, Sir Paul McCartney was in New York for rehearsals and Dr David Lynch, Dr Roth, and others attended these rehearsals. Dr Roth said that Sir Paul was so blissful and so happy to be participating in the concert. He played with such enthusiasm.

On Friday David Lynch met and conducted interviews with Sir Paul, Ringo, Donovan, and Mike Love, who had all been in India with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in 1968. Dr Lynch also interviewed Sheryl Crow and Moby. These interviews were conducted for www.dlf.tv, the David Lynch Foundation's new web TV site.

Also on Friday 3 April, a major press conference was held about the concert, webcast globally; Saturday evening, 4 April, was the concert; Sunday a special meeting was held for friends and supporters of the Lynch Foundation and Transcendental Meditation, including Transcendental Meditation Teachers—with Dr Lynch, Dr John Hagelin*, Donovan, and others, who all reflected on the great satisfaction, success, and fulfilment of the whole weekend.

Another very special highlight of the weekend was a meeting Sunday 5 April with Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam*, First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, who was visiting the United States from the International Capital of the Global Country in MERU, Holland.

In the coming days Global Good News will feature excerpts from Dr Lynch's interviews and further reflections from Dr Roth.
