Russian version of David Lynch's book Catching the Big Fish inspires wave of interest in Transcendental Meditation

The book by world-renowned filmmaker Dr David Lynch —Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness, and Creativity—was recently published in Russia and has created a wave of interest in Maharishi's programmes throughout the country.

After the book was released, the phones began ringing at Maharishi Invincibility Centres across the nation, with inquiries about the Transcendental Meditation Programme. Interest is especially great among young people, said Dr Maxim Shatohin, National Director of Russia for the Global Country of World Peace.

Many young people were also among those who participated in a number of courses in the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme including Yogic Flying, held over the past few months in Russia. At the end of the course, graduates received a Russian translation of the beautiful book, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on the Bhagavad-Gita
— A New Translation and Commentary, Chapters 1-6.

Dr Peter Swan, Minister of Communication for the Global Country of World Peace, commented that the book is a great gift of knowledge to complement the new Yogic Flyers' growing experiences of fullness of life in higher states of consciousness.

Knowledge of Maharishi's programmes is also now more widely available in Russia through three new websites, Dr Shatohin announced:
