Speaking 21 October 2008 on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Dr Mario Orsatti, National Director of Communication for the Global Country of World Peace in the United States, reported on the success of a recent initiative of the Center for Leadership Performance in the US, to provide training courses for employees at a well-established financial institution.
The Center for Leadership Performance was founded by Dr John Hagelin*, Raja of Invincible America and world-renowned physicist, as a means of bringing the Transcendental Meditation Programme of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to America's influential business elite. Recently, the Center has been involved in an initiative to provide its training programmes to some of the 800 employees at a successful financial company.
'We're providing these employees with a beautiful course of instruction, which lays the foundation for the development of ideal leadership,' said Dr Orsatti. 'By learning Transcendental Meditation, these business leaders will achieve enlightenment on an individual level, greater efficiency and leadership for their company, and will help establish permanent invincibility for the nation.'
Dr Orsatti went on to report great receptivity among employees at the company. 'They were eager to learn all they could about transcending,'** he said, 'including its scientifically proven benefits.' So far, he reported, several knowledgeable speakers have visited the company, including Dr Steele Belok, who is an M.D. and long-time practitioner of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme and Teacher of the Transcendental Meditation Programme, as well as an expert in Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care.
'The experiences of the company employees enrolled in the Center for Leadership Performance programme have been remarkable,' continued Dr Orsatti. One young employee, having just learned Transcendental Meditation, reported an experience of deep silence—pure wakefulness. Another employee described 'a silence so intense it seemed to push me pack into my seat'.
In addition to these powerful experiences during the practice of Transcendental Meditation, employees have also noticed differences in their lives at work, noted Dr Orsatti. One reported that, while before he was always eager to insert his opinion at meetings, after practising Transcendental Meditation he has become a better, more patient listener. 'We see these young leaders developing the basis for ideal professional relationships, which will continue to blossom and grow as they practice the TM Technique daily,' added Dr Orsatti.
'Because they play a natural parental role to their communities, these financial leaders can help to further the adoption of Transcendental Meditation into the institutions of American society, including schools,' said Dr Orsatti, in conclusion.
* Dr Hagelin is also executive director of the International Center for Invincible Defense in New York City, and Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace.
** The systematic settling down of the mind during Transcendental Meditation to experience increasingly refined levels of the thinking process, eventually going beyond thought and experiencing the silent, unbounded field of Transcendental Consciousness, the basis of the mind's activity.
