During the grand, daylong celebration by the Global Country of World Peace of Victory Day, the auspicious day of Vijaya Dashmi in the Vedic Calendar, Dr Benjamin Feldman, Minister of Finance and Planning of the Global Country of World Peace discussed the role of the Raam currency in the transformation of world economy.

Speaking on 9 October 2008, to the assembly of Rajas, Raj Rajeshwaris, and Ministers of the Global Country in MERU, Holland, and to viewers around the world enjoying the global live broadcast on the Maharishi Channel, Dr Feldman said, 'Maharishi created a new currency—the Raam. All currencies today find themselves in a topsy-turvy situation in the world because they are based on a vague perception of the overall economy that lies behind those currencies. And as those economies are gripped by fear, the whole basis of those currencies disappears and tumbles.

'In contrast to that, we have an infinitely based, infinitely resourceful currency, the Raam. The inexhaustible treasury of Raja Raam is available to the currency Raam that is at once based on the total power of Natural Law—to bestow abundance on every aspect of life, the very basis and sustenance of the universe as we see it . . . ever-expanding and ever-evolving—and at the same time it's a currency based on the most fundamental manifestation of that abundance of Mother Nature: the food, the grains, the vegetables, the fruits.

'The fruit of the earth, the fruit of what is already there in every country is at the basis of the Raam. [This is] the real wealth . . . not the perception of wealth, but the actuality of wealth in the natural resources [of every nation], and harnessing those natural resources is at the basis of the Raam Mudra, the currency of Maharaja Adhiraj Raja Raam of the Global Country of World Peace.

'So today we feel that the world is ready to see the wisdom—the most profound and infinite wisdom in Maharishi's vision, in the blessings of Guru Dev*—in creating this knowledge-based currency . . . which is the embodiment of Brahm, of Totality. . . . In the currency of the Global Country of World Peace, we have the shimmering golden light of God available to every company and every country of the world.

'With this it is a very great joy to support all the efforts of Raja Hagelin—the Raja of Invincible America [who is working] from the Global Financial Capital of New York for every country of the world—with the inexhaustible treasury of the Global Country of World Peace. . . .'
