Poverty removal conference presentation by Dr Benjamin Feldman - part I
by Global Good News staff writer

6 May 2007
At a conference held 25 April, 2007 at the Global Financial Capital of New York, Dr Benjamin Feldman, Minister of Finance and Planning of the Global Country of World Peace, discussed the investment opportunities developed by the Ministry of Finance and Planning as a means to support Maharishi's plan for the removal of poverty.
Dr Feldman began by saying that there is no reason for poverty to be continuing in the world today, as we have all the plans, knowledge, and resources necessary to eliminate poverty simply and quickly. By tapping into the infinite creativity of Nature and the infinite potential of the individual and human society, we have the powerful tools needed to improve the lives of everyone on every level. Dr Feldman said, 'It's as though we have a powerhouse, but nobody has turned the switch.'
Dr Feldman described how the plans for the removal of poverty can be financed by providing wealthy investors with investment opportunities which are both beneficial to the world and free of the fear and risk associated with traditional investments. If .1 to .3 per cent of the annual transactions on the New York Stock Exchange were invested in the programmes of the Global Country of World Peace to improve education, healthcare, and organic agriculture, it would be enough to remove poverty from the world. The money would be paid back to investors over a period of 15 years with 7 per cent interest. In addition, two projects addressing education and health would offer a yearly bonus of 15 per cent of the profit until the investment is fully paid off.
Tomorrow's Global Good News will feature Part II of Dr Feldman's presentation, in which he gave further details on the investment offerings of the Global Financial Capital of New York.
