Global Country of World Peace celebrates Victory Day, 28 September 2009

On 28 September 2009, the Global Country of World Peace held its annual grand, global celebration of Victory Day, the auspicious day of Vijaya Dashami in the Vedic Calendar.*

Maharishi Vedic Pandits (peace-creating experts) at the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahma-Sthan (auspicious geographic centre) of India performed traditional Vedic recitations to enliven the total value of Natural Law to create invincibility for every nation and peace for the world.

Concurrently, the Raja and Ministers of the Global Country of World Peace were assembled in MERU, Holland, in the presence of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace. The ceremonies in India and Holland were broadcast live globally via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel.

On the occasion of Victory Day in 2007, on 21 October, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, inaugurated the ten-day Coronation ceremony of six new Rajas (Administrators) of the Global Country. In his address to the Victory Day celebration, Maharishi said:

'Very fortunate to have this on the first day—Vijaya Dashami—Coronation of Rajaraam.** This is how we are going to establish a very solid foundation, not only the foundation, but the working of the administration of Natural Law, which involves the whole of the Constitution of the Universe—whole of the Veda.'***

In today's live celebration webcast, Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam gave a beautiful discourse in which he explained that Victory Day is the celebration of the victory of Natural Law over fragmented values of life. That is the daily experience of those who practise Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Technique, gaining the support of total Natural Law. Joining the Pandits in India in their Vedic recitations was a group of Pandits in MERU. Following the Vedic recitations, the Raja of Invincible India, Raja Harris Kaplan, commented on and praised the Pandits' performance.

Also following these special Vedic performances to enliven the qualities of Natural Law that support victory, the Flag of Invincibility—the flag of the Global Country of World Peace—was raised in many countries around the world. Beautiful photos of the flag-raising will soon be featured in the Global Good News 'Album of Events' section, including photos from New Zealand, China, Ghana, Holland, Estonia, Poland, Denmark, South Africa, Finland, Switzerland, Hungary, Norway, Greece, and other countries.
