Maharishi's vision for the Purusha Capital in USA - Part I - Raja Bob LoPinto

Speaking 22 July 2008 on Maharishi Global Family Chat as part of the Global Guru Purnima Assembly in MERU, Netherlands, Raja Bob LoPinto, Raja of Invincible South Africa for the Global Country of World Peace, shared the vision of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for the new Maharishi Purusha* Capital of the Western World, located in West Virginia, USA, and described progress made on the project so far.

In September of 2007, Maharishi first described his vision for the Purusha Capital. 'It was a beautiful vision,' said Raja LoPinto; 'he desired a magnificent location with expansive mountain views and moderate climate for the permanent home of Purusha's silent administration.'

Elaborating on the description given recently by Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, about the project, Raja LoPinto said that, in accordance with Maharishi's plan, the 192 members of Purusha to reside at the Capital in West Virginia will each adopt one country of the world to administer. Each day, they will spend about an hour attending to the needs of their countries, simply on the level of consciousness.**

For every member of Purusha, there will be two 'Computer Masters', as Maharishi called them, who will research statistical information on that Purusha's country, to then display on a large computer screen. Purusha members will enjoy, learn, and attend to their countries by absorbing that information daily into their consciousness. 'They will spend most of their time in undisturbed silence, nourishing all aspects of the countries through their extended practice of Yogic Flying,' said Raja LoPinto.

'After sharing with me his vision,' he continued, 'I suggested to Maharishi that we contact the Ashelman family, all of them practitioners of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, who had recently developed and sold a 1,300 acre resort in the mountains of West Virginia.' After talking to Randall Ashelman, a realtor, for just a couple of minutes, Maharishi named him 'Mastermind', and immediately put him in charge of locating and developing property for the Purusha Capital.

For the next three weeks, Raja LoPinto and Mr Ashelman traveled by car over 1,500 miles on beautiful winding mountain roads through small towns, from the northeastern portion of West Virginia all the way to the southern tip. The pair had evaluated hundreds of properties, and, after eliminating many for reasons of poor Vastu, visited 35 of them during their three-week trip.

'Every day we would report back to Maharishi, telling him what we'd found, going over every minute detail of the property,' said Raja LoPinto. 'After a few reports, Maharishi wanted to know only one thing about the properties: how beautiful was the view?' Maharishi also wanted to make sure that the property was not at such a high elevation as to be extreme; and that outdoor recreation was available on the property. 'But this was only the beginning,' said Raja LoPinto, 'of Maharishi's thorough attention to detail on this project.'
