On 25 June 2008 International Herald Tribune reported: Global interconnectedness is helping vast amounts of people escape poverty and move into prosperity. One-third of China's citizens -- the most populous country in the world -- rose out of poverty during a 14-year period. One billion people are predicted to rise up to middle class during the next twelve years. Emerging markets enrich those on both sides of each transaction and create, rather than drain, wealth. Global Good News service views this news as a sign of rising positivity in the field of world peace, documenting the growth of life-supporting, evolutionary trends.

Recently, the World Bank reevaluated its own statistics to find that—instead of 250 million people in China escaping from severe poverty between 1990 and 2004—407 million had actually gained more money.

This 'upward shift' is happening worldwide.

The International Herald Tribune reported, 'The Brookings Institution recently forecast that one billion people would join the ranks of this rising middle class by 2020.'

The article stated, 'This is cause for global celebration: The world's riches are being opened to all of its citizens, who in turn are contributing new value and advances that will propel the world economy to greater heights of shared prosperity.'

This new global prosperity is happening now because the world has 'moved decisively from what we called ''globalization'' into a new era of global inter-connectedness, where not just goods but information and ideas flow across borders constantly and (for the most part) freely as near universal access to Internet-enabled communications moves closer to reality,' the International Herald Tribune explained.

Business is thriving on 'the explosion of talent and innovation on a distributed, global scale', which is enriched by diverse cultures and global thinking.

'The result is to lift millions of people out of poverty—creating enormous new markets for business, and giving rise to an increasingly sophisticated and educated, global middle class,' the article stated.

Increased competition will not create scarcity but will add to the world's betterment and wealth.

'And that is because of the greatest strength to arise from this new prosperity and interconnectedness: an incredible engine of innovation that continuously drives costs down and performance up,' the article explained.

Better education and communication all create better business ideas and prosperity.

The article stated, 'As education and ideas flow more freely, the resulting innovation unlocks new possibilities, as it has in each step toward modernization. Once something in one part of the world becomes a best practice, it is almost magically adopted immediately everywhere, providing many more people a chance to innovate from that point forward.'

The International Herald Tribune report concluded, '...poverty is receding at a rate unsurpassed in history; and the power of the emerging dreamers, thinkers, tinkerers and innovators worldwide have only just now begun to transform our world.'

Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
