New government cooperation in the United Kingdom

Commenting recently about the situation in the United Kingdom since the general election in May, Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace, said that during the election campaign, the leaders of the new government had not only mentioned the benefits of their practice of Transcendental Meditation, 'such as peace of mind and sharper thinking—but they also promoted it as a sign of their worthiness to be elected.

'It was quite a remarkable thing. It wasn't just an admission that came out accidentally in the press that they were practising Transcendental Meditation, it was something they promoted from their side,' Raja Peter said during the continuing global Guru Purnima Assembly in MERU, Holland.*

Even beyond that, Raja Peter continued, one of these leaders, asked by the media what features of his life made him electable, mentioned Transcendental Meditation as one of them. Another leader mentioned that Transcendental Meditation was the basis of all the efficiency he displays in his life.

As a result of the election, Raja Peter said, the two main parties are working closely together very effectively, and the third opposition party has also been very supportive. Raja Peter quoted from an editorial in a major newspaper stating that the election outcome 'borders on the supernatural'.

'This was the reaction to how things had gone as a result of the general election, and how the parties were working together after the election.'
