Maharishi plans tower for meditation in Brussels

The director of the local Maharishi Invincibility Center, Stijn Vandenbosch, discussed how the unique programmes the school will offer to its students--including Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Technique--will benefit both the students and the nation. 'Meditation has nothing but advantages', Mr Vandenbosch was quoted as saying. Students who practise Transcendental Meditation together for fifteen minutes at the beginning and end of each school day will have a greater ability to concentrate and will be more harmonious with their classmates*, said Mr Vandenbosch.

The article reported that Transcendental Meditation has been offered to schools in the area and some of them have shown interest. New schools, such as the one planned for Brussels, will be established as well, Mr Vandenbosch said. The article reported that according to Mr Vandenbosch, these students will not only benefit themselves, but 'they will be trained to be the torchbearers of a peaceful and harmonious society'.

The article reported that the students at the Brussels school will practise Transcendental Meditation and the advanced Yogic Flying. Studies show that the practice of Yogic Flying—even by a group of only 350 people—could prevent crime and terrorism in Belgium, Mr Vandenbosch explained.
