by Jessica Radloff

5 May 2014
On 13 May 2014 Glamour reported: Actress Judy Greer ''is adding director to her resume as she showcases why Transcendental Meditation has become such a huge part of her life.'' It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of culture.
Glamour magazine columnist Jessica Radloff interviewed Ms Greer recently about the short film she made for AOL's new In Short film series, exploring her practice of Transcendental Meditation (TM) and its use in a Los Angeles school.
''I had been wanting to try and learn how to meditate, and I did research on the different types of meditation,'' Ms. Greer is quoted as saying in the interview. ''TM seemed the easiest, and I liked that it wasn't religious in any way.''
Asked in the interview, ''What's your most important tip for dealing with anxiety?'', Ms Greer replies: ''Obviously, my tip first is to incorporate meditation into your schedule. It sounds like a lot—'Twenty minutes twice a day, how can I ever do that?!'—but creating that time to meditate ends up creating so much more time for you.''
In the engaging seven-minute film Ms Greer talks with students and teachers at the school about how the ''Quiet Time'' Transcendental Meditation program has helped them reduce stress and anxiety and improve their schoolwork. ''I was really excited to see the change in the kids,'' she says in the film. ''It's a real success story. I wish I would have learned to meditate at their age.''
The interview concludes by asking Glamour readers:
''Have you ever tried Transcendental Meditation? Click here to watch Judy's new short on AOL.''
