The Maharishi Channel is now available on YouTube with 30 new videos, and new ones to be uploaded each week. There are also Channels for Transcendental Meditation, Maharishi Vedic Pandits, and Maharishi University of Management.

Asher Fergusson, a young member of the Maharishi Purusha Programme*, has been working to set up the Maharishi Channel in video on YouTube. Asher travelled recently in India with the Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, Dr Bevan Morris, and also works with Raja Harris Kaplan, Raja of Invincible India.

In December last year, Asher could find very few videos of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on YouTube. Since then he has set up a Maharishi Channel on the YouTube site, with 30 videos available. Thousands of people from all over the world have seen them. Speaking recently Asher said, 'Many of these people never saw Maharishi before and are very inspired by his knowledge.'

Asher explained that watching these videos also helps to promote Maharishi and his teachings, because the ranking on YouTube depends on the number of views for any video. Each video that is available has a description of its contents.

He said it is very easy to create your own YouTube account, to see all these videos and to give ratings and create favourites. This account becomes your own channel, which can be customized to your own needs, and where you can save particular videos that you like, without having to re-search for them. All these factors contribute to the ranking of the video and therefore help promote Maharishi's programmes. Instructions are on the YouTube site.

At least one new video will be uploaded each week, he said. There are over 30,000 hours of recordings of Maharishi speaking, so there is a huge amount of material that can be used, with many beautiful lectures from past courses and recent press conferences. By subscribing to an account, one will be notified when new videos are uploaded.

There are now three new channels available on YouTube—one for Transcendental Meditation, one for Maharishi Vedic Pandits, and one for Maharishi University of Management, which includes videos by Dr David Lynch, Raja John Hagelin, and Dr Fred Travis describing brain research on the Transcendental Meditation Programme.

* Maharishi has explained that Purusha means the Self, the quality of infinite silence of the Unified Field of Natural Law. Maharishi designed the Maharishi Purusha Programme for men who wish to dedicate themselves fulltime to the most rapid pace of evolution and to creating world peace, through extended group practice of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, and through their administration through silence, fulfilling the goals of the Global Country of World Peace in 192 countries of the world.
