ABIDJAN (Reuters) - Ivory Coast's economy will grow by 8.6 percent in 2012 and 9 percent in 2013, government spokesman Bruno Kone said on Tuesday following a cabinet meeting.

The West African state's economy was previously expected to grow by 8.1 percent in 2012, its first full year since a brief civil war ground business to a temporary halt.

Kone said the government would propose a 2013 budget of 3,814 billion CFA francs, up 17 percent from 2012, on the back of the robust growth projections.
